Approved April 1, 1952
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a section
numbered 8-276.1, as follows:
§ 8-276.1. Whenever the title to any real property claimed under a
conveyance or deed heretofore or hereafter made is attacked or called into
question because of the fact that the grantors therein are described as, or
stated to be, all the heirs at law of the intestate decedent who was at the
time of his death the owner of the said real property conveyed and no quali-
fication has been had upon the decedent’s estate and no list of heirs has been
filed in any court, or the clerk’s office thereof, wherein such may be done in
the county or city in which the said property lies, the said deed or con-
veyance shall be prima facie evidence that the recital or description that the
grantors are such heirs at law is true.
