An Act to amend and reenact § 15-24. 2 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to daylight saving time in certain counties or cities, so as to provide
a method by which certain counties or cities may provide for, enforce
and require daylight saving time.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 15-24.2 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:
§ 15-24.2. The governing body of any county having a population
of more than one thousand per square mile according to the last preceding
United States census or the governing body of any county or city adjoin-
ing any such county, or any of them, may, * by * resolution require, pro-
vide for and enforce daylight saving ‘time in their respective counties and
cities. Such time when so prescribed shall govern the conduct of all busi-
nesses and elections in the respective counties and cities.
