CHAPTER 418

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section, numbered
46-159.1, relating to annual registration fees for private passenger
carrying vehicles of certain capacity.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
46-159.1 as follows:

§ 46-159.1. The annual fees required to be paid for certificates of
registration and license plates by the owner of any private motor vehicle
with a normal seating capacity of more than eight adult persons, including
the driver, designed for the transportation of passengers, and used for
the transportation of passengers, not for compensation, shall be thirty
cents per one hundred pounds of weight or major fraction thereof.

2. An emergency exists and this act shall be in force from its passage.
