An Act to amend and reenact § 88-7 of the Code of Virginia, relating to
chief engineer and other employees.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

That § 33-7 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:

§ 33-7. Chief engineer and other employees; deputy commissioner.—
The State Highway Commissioner shall employ a chief engineer and such
other engineers, clerks, assistants, and other employees as may be needed,
and shall prescribe and fix their duties. They shall receive such salaries
and expenses as may be fixed in accordance with the provisions of law.
The chief engineer will also act as deputy commissioner and perform such
of the commissioner’s duties as may be delegated to him by the commis-
stoner.
