CHAPTER 340

An Act to amend and reenact Section 29-184.1 of the Code of Virginia,
relating to increase of license on dogs in certain counties. P

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That Section 29-184.1 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reen-
acted as follows:

Section 29-184.1. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding
section, the governing body of any county * containing two cities of the
first class a population not exceeding * thirty-five thousand, and the gov-
erning body of any county having a population of not less than four thou-
sand nor more than four thousand five hundred and the governing body
of any county having a population of not less than eighteen thousand nine
hundred nor more than nineteen thousand may by ordinance provide
that the amount of the license tax on dogs in such counties shall be as

ollows:

For a male dog, not exceeding two dollars.

For an unsexed female dog, not exceeding two dollars.

For other female dogs, not exceeding five dollars.
