CHAPTER 311

An Act to amend and reenact § 48 of Chapter 101 of the Acts of Assembly
of 1922, approved February 25, 1922, which chapter provided a charter
for the town of Galax, the section relating to the maximum rate of
tax which the town may levy.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 48 of Chapter 101 of the Acts of Assembly of 1922, approved
February 25, 1922, be amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 48. The rate of such levies upon real and personal property shall
not exceed * four dollars on one hundred dollars of assessed valuation.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
