An Act to transfer the jurisdiction and control of certain strips or parcels
of land along and through State Farm, in Goochland County, from the
State Board of Welfare and Institutions and the State Department of
Welfare and Institutions to the State Highway Commission, and to
authorize the latter to use the said strips or parcels of land as a part
of State Primary Highway Route No. 6 and State Secondary Highway
Route No. 645.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the jurisdiction and control of certain strips or parcels of land
lying and situate in Goochland County and along and through the State
Farm, be and the same is hereby transferred from the State Board of
Welfare and Institutions and the State Department of Welfare and Insti-
tutions to the State Highway Commission, which is hereby authorized to
use and maintain the said strips or parcels of land as a part of State
Primary Highway Route No. 6 and as a part of State Secondary Highway
Route No. 645. Said strips or parcels of land contain 10.3 acres, more or
less, lying on one or both sides of the survey with plan centerlines of said
Routes Nos. 6 and 645, and are located and are of the widths and areas as
shown on sheet Nos. 3, 4 and 5 of the plans for Route No. 6, Project No.
3137-02-03, approved February 9, 1951, by C. S. Mullen, Chief Engineer,
on file in the office of the State Department of Highways at Richmond,
copies of which are on file in the office of the State Department of Welfare
and Institutions at Richmond.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
