CHAPTER 293

An Act to amend and reenact § 58-806 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to the appointment of committees for convicts under certain cir-
cumstances.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 53-306 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
follows:

§ 53-306. If such person so convicted and sentenced * , whether a
resident or a nonresident of Virginia * , has no property or estate in this
State, a committee shall be appointed for him, on motion of any party
interested, by the circuit court of the county or the corporation or other
court having probate jurisdiction in the county or city wherein the offense
was committed, such committee, when so appointed, to be subject to the
provisions of § 53-307 so far as applicable.
