CHAPTER 288

An Act to prescribe limits upon haul seining tn certain waters, to provide
penalties for violations, and when such become effective.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. It shall be unlawful and constitute a misdemeanor to use any haul
seine in the Chesapeake Bay or any of the waters tributary thereto from
the fifteenth of December of any year until the fifteenth of the following
February. This limitation shall not apply unless Maryland adopts a
similar statute.
