CHAPTER 275
An Act to amend and reenact § 18-818 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to minors in public pool rooms outside of the limit of cities and towns,
so as to extend the provisions of the section to certain counter 642)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1 That § 18-313 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
§ 18-3138. No minor shall frequent, play in or loiter in any public
pool room or billiard room or be permitted by the proprietor thereof or
his agent to frequent, play in or loiter in any such public pool room or
billiard room located outside of the corporate limits of towns and cities.
Any minor and any such proprietor violating the provisions of this
section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by a fine of not
less than five dollars or by imprisonment in jail not more than six months
or by both such fine and imprisonment.
But nothing in this section shall apply to any pool room or billiard
room located at a health resort with a natural mineral spring, nor to
military nor naval personnel in uniform in any pool room or billiard room,
or within any county which has adopted the county manager form of
organization and government provided for in Chapter 11 of Title 15 of
this Code, and which has adopted an ordinance regulating the frequenting
of pool rooms and billiard rooms by minors. Any such county ts hereby
authorized to adopt such ordinances.
