Act to amend and reenact Chapter 20 of the Acts of Assembly of
1940, approved February 9, 1940, as amended, which was continued
in effect by § 15-762 of the Code of Virginia, relating to certain
assessments of taxes for public improvements in certain counties and
validation of certain such levies.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
That Chapter 20 of the Acts of Assembly of 1940, approved February
940, as amended, which was continued in effect by § 15-762 of the
e of Virginia, be amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 1. The * governing body of any county adjoining a city having
opulation of more than * two hundred thousand and less than * two
dred and * twenty-five thousand, according to the last preceding
ted States census, and the * governing body of any county having
