CHAPTER 26

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
21-118.2, so as to empower certain counties to use sanitary district
funds for certain purposes. ss

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
21-118.2, as follows:

§ 21-118.2. The board of supervisors of any county operating sani-
tary districts under the provisions of Chap 2 as amended of Title 21
of the Code of Virginia or under the provisions of an act or acts continued
in effect by § 21-120 of the Code of Virginia, may use sanitary district
funds for police protection and for construction and operation of commu-
nity houses within the district, provided that this act shall apply only
to a county having a population in excess of fifty-five thousand and
adjoining a city within the State having a population in excess of two
hundred and thirty thousand. Action hereunder shall be subject to the
rights of the holders of any bonds issued by such district.
