CHAPTER 220
An Act to prescribe the manner of execution of obligations of certain

counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary
in any county having the county manager form of organization and gov-
ernment under Chap 11 of Title 15 of the Code of Virginia, adjoining
a city with a population of not more than forty-three thousand, all bonds
and other obligations of the county, whether issued by the governing
body thereof or by the school board, shall hereafter be signed by the
chairman of such governing body and countersigned by the clerk thereof.
