CHAPTER 218
An Act authorizing the State Hospital Board to move a certain building,
lease the same, and to take certain action in relation to the contents
thereof. rH 482]
Approved March 7, 1952
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The State Hospital Board is hereby authorized subject to the approval
of the Governor to move a certain small frame building in the city of
Williamsburg, now on the property of the State Hospital Board at the
Eastern State Hospital, said property being located off Henry Street
between Thurman and Montague Streets, to some convenient place with
the consent of the owner of that place, not on the property of the Hospital
Board, and lease the same to any firefighting unit which may desire to
rent the same, upon such terms and at such consideration as may be fair
and equitable, which shall be paid into the State Treasury, to the credit
of the State Hospital Board. The affixing of the building to any real estate
shall not operate to pass title to the building to the owner of the real estate.
The State Hospital Board is further authorized to rent or convey, to
such firefighting unit upon such terms and at such consideration as may
be fair and equitable, any ladder or other equipment heretofore kept in
the aforesaid building.
An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
