CHAPTER 212
An Act to amend and reenact § 24-352 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to order of election by State Board of Elections, so as to provide to
whom notice shall be sent; to provide where such notice shall he posted;
and to provide for certain fees.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
That § 24-352 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
§ 24-352. The State Board of Elections shall after receipt of the notice
order the holding of a primary election in any county, city or other district
of the State in which it is so notified that a primary is intended to be held.
Such notice shall be sent to the sheriffs of the counties or the sergeants
of the cittes as the case may be. Each such sheriff or sergeant shall forth-
with post a copy of such notice at some public place in each election district,
at or neur the usual voting place in the district. The sheriffs or sergeants
Shall each receive the sum of fifty cents for posting each notice of election,
which fee shall be paid out of the county, city or town treasury, as the
case may be.
