CHAPTER 126

An Act to amend and reenact § 58-1038 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to confirmation by court of reports of certain delinquent real estate.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 58-1038 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenact-
ed as follows:

§ 58-1038. The court, if it finds the list to be correct, or having
corrected the same when there is error, shall confirm the report and order
it to be recorded and properly indexed in a book kept for the purpose and
known as “The Delinquent Land Book”; provided, however, that any
sale of delinquent real estate made pursuant to the provisions of this
chapter prior to January one, nineteen hundred fifty, if otherwise regular,
is hereby confirmed and validated notwithstanding the treasurer’s report
of such sale was not confirmed by the court as herein required.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
