An Act to amend and reenact § 55-125 of the Code of Virginu, relating
to certain acknowledgments so as to change the period of tts applic-

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

aH That § 55-125 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
| § 55-125. Any certificate of acknowledgment of any deed of trust,
taken and certified prior to * the effective date of this act by a person
named as trustee therein who was, at the time of taking the acknowl-
edgment, an officer authorized by law to take acknowledgments of
deeds, is declared to be as valid and of the same force and effect as if
such person had not been a trustee in the deed of trust; provided that this
section shall not affect any right or remedy of any third party, which
acerued, after the recordation of the deed of trust and before the date
aforesaid. .
