CHAPTER 584

AN ACT to eliminate and prohibit certain restrictions on tidal
waters and marshlands heretofore established as within the
jurisdiction of the Commission of Fisheries.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. Any marshlands or tidal waters located in tide-
water and owned by or in any way under the direction or con-
trol of the Commission of Fisheries or the Commission of Game
and Inland Fisheries in and to which such ownership, direction
or control was after March 1, 1950, shall be open to lawful
hunting and fishing by any citizen of the Commonwealth,
in the same manner and under the same laws, rules and regula-
tions to which other lands and waters public and private in the
Commonwealth are subject.
