ACT to amend the Code of 1950 by adding a section num-
bered 15-152.1, so as to stay all annexation proceedings
until July one, nineteen hundred fifty-two, with certain

exceptions.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

That the Code of 1950 be amended by adding a section
hered 15-152.1 as follows:

§ 15-152.1. Annexation proceedings stayed.—No city of
Commonwealth shall, prior to July 1, 1952, institute any
eedings for the annexation of any territory not included in
proceedings instituted before the effective date of this act
