CHAPTER 50
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Commission of Game and
Inland Fisheries to grant to Transcontinental Gas Pipe
Line Corporation certain easements of right of way on,
over and across certain property known as “Hawfield”
owned by the Commonwealth of Virginia in Orange 1084
Approved February 23, 1950
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries is author-
ized and empowered to grant and convey unto Transcon-
tinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation, its successors and assigns,
upon such terms and conditions as the Commission of Game and
Inland Fisheries shall deem proper, easements of right of way
for the construction, maintenance and operation of its pipe lines
and appurtenances on, over and across the property known as
“Hawfield’, owned by the Commonwealth in Orange County.
The instruments granting and conveying the easements of right
of way shall be signed and executed in such manner and form
as shall be authorized and directed by the Commission of Game
and Inland Fisheries, and shall provide for reversion of the
easements to the Commonwealth in event of abandonment of
the easements.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its
passage.
