CHAPTER 437
AN ACT to authorize the city of Norfolk to transfer and conrcy
certain property to the Commonwealth of Virginia; to pre-
scribe the uses to which such property may be. put.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The city of Norfolk is authorized to transfer and convey
to the Commonwealth of Virginia, by proper deed, the following
described property:
Lots 65 to 82, both inclusive, Block 229, City Plat No, 497;
Block 229, plat of Investment Company of Norfolk, Pey-
ton tract; and an unnumbered jib lot adjoining lot 65
above described, on the east of said lot.
§ 2. Such property may be conveyed to the Commonwealth of
Virginia for general use, including, without limiting, use for mili-
tary purposes including the construction of military buildings and
improvements thereon and facilities required therefor.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
