CHAPTER 406

AN ACT to amend the Code of 1950 by adding a section num-
bered 15-504.2, to permit the boards of supervisors of
counties to contract with the clerks or treasurers of counties
for services in connection with the preparation of the
county budget.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of 1950 be amended by adding a section
numbered 15-504.2 as follows:

§ 15-504.2. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 15-504,
the county treasurer or county clerk of any county may contract
with and receive additional compensation from the board of
supervisors of any such county for the performance of services
in connection with the preparation of the county budget and it
shall be lawful for the board of supervisors to pay and for such
officer to receive the same.
