CHAPTER 370

AN ACT to validate general reassessments of real estate in cer-
tain counties for the year 1948.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That in any county in which the general reassessment of
real estate required by § 242 of the Tax Code as the statute was
then designated and as now contained in Article 3 of Chap 15
of the Code of 1950 to be made in the year nineteen hundred
forty-eight was not completed within the year nineteen hundred
forty-eight nor within sixty days thereafter but has since been
completed, such general reassessment for the year nineteen hun-
dred forty-eight is hereby validated and made operative as to
taxes to be assessed and collected after December thirty-one,
nineteen hundred forty-nine as fully and completely as if it had
been completed by the thirty-first day of December, nineteen
hundred forty-eight.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its
passage.
