CHAPTER 350

AN ACT to amend and reenact § 46-168 of the Code of 1950 80 as
to empower the Commissioner of the Division of Motor Vehicles
to issue appropriately designated tags for certain motor
vehicles.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 46-168 of the Code of 1950 be amended and reenacted as
follows:

§ 46-168. Tags for property carrying vehicles.—The Commis-
sioner * may issue appropriately designated tags for property carry-
ing vehicles to applicants holding themselves out for private em-
ployment as property carriers for rent or for hire, and to appli-
cants who operate as contract carriers or common carriers or re-
stricted common carriers by motor vehicle of property under cer-
tificates or permits issued by the State Corporation Commission or
by the Interstate Commerce Commission.
