4N ACT to amend and reenact §§ 1 and 4 of Chapter 177 of the
Acts of Assembly of 1942, approved March 11, 1942, and con-
tinued in effect by § 15-705 of the Code of 1950, so as to en-
large the class of counties affected.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
. That §§ 1 and 4 of Chapter 177 of the Acts of Assembly of
942, approved March 11, 1942, and continued in effect by § 15-705
f the Code of 1950, be amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 1. The board of supervisors or other governing body of any
ounty in the Commonwealth having a population in excess of one
housand per square mile according to the last preceding United
tates census, or any county adjoining such a county, is hereby au-
horized to acquire such land or lands in such county as may be
ecessary or desirable for the establishment of parks and play-
grounds and other recreational facilities, and to borrow money and
issue the bonds of the county for such purpose upon the conditions
hereinafter provided.
§ 4. If the governing body shall be authorized to issue bonds
for such purposes, the said body shall proceed to issue such bonds
in the manner prescribed in chapter one hundred and sixty-one of
the Acts of the General Assembly of nineteen hundred and twenty-
six, as amended, and continued in effect by § 21-120 of the Code of
Virginia, supplying the name of the county wherein the same may
be indicated, as fully as if the terms of said chapter one hundred
and sixty-one were fully set out herein.
