CHAPTER 312

AN ACT to permit the use of standard cattle guards along sec-
ondary highways in certain counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

§ 1. In the county of Russell, it shall be lawful for any
landowner, lessee, or tenant to erect and maintain a standard
cattle guard or guards on his property in lieu of an existing gate
or gates across any highway which is now, or may hereafter be,
incorporated in the secondary system of State highways.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from passage.
