CHAPTER 288

AN ACT to amend and reenact § 64-18 of the Code of 1950,
relating to when homicide bars acquisition of an estate.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 64-18 of the Code of 1950 be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 64-18. When homicide to bar acquisition of estate.—No
person shall acquire by descent or distribution, or by will, any
interest in the estate of another * for whose death such person
has been convicted of murder.
