CHAPTER 274
AN ACT for the relief of Floyd Harris.

Whereas, two. patients of the Lynchburg State Colony in
an attempt to escape took an automobile belonging to Floyd
Harris, and
Whereas, in the attempted escape, the two patients of
Lynchburg State Colony drove the car off of the highway and
completely demolished it, and
Whereas, there is no other method by which Floyd Harris
may be compensated for this wrongful act; Now, Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That there is appropriated from the general fund of the
State treasury three hundred dollars and the Comptroller
is directed to draw his warrant on the State Treasurer in that
amount payable to Floyd Harris. Provided that cotemporane-
nusly with the delivery of the warrant for three hundred dollars
the said Floyd Harris will execute and deliver a full and com-
plete release for all rights and claims for said automobile.
