CHAPTER 273

AN ACT to amend the Code of 1950 by adding a section numbered
8-59.1 relating to service of process on copartners or part-

nerships.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of 1950 be amended by adding a section
numbered 8-59.1 as follows:

§ 8-59.1. How process served on copartners or partner-
ships.—Process against, or notice to, a copartner or partnership,
may be served upon a partner, and it shall be deemed service
upon the partnership and upon each partner individually named
in the action, provided the person served is not a plaintiff in the
suit, and provided the matter in suit is a partnership matter.
