CHAPTER 271

AN ACT to amend the Code of 1950 by adding a section numbered
33-279.1, providing that dumping in certain places be a mis-
demeanor, and to provide a minimum penalty therefor.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of 1950 be amended by adding a section num-
bered 33-279.1, as follows:

§ 33-279.1. Any person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor who
shall dump or otherwise dispose of trash, garbage, or other un-
sightly matter, on a public highway, right of way, or on private
property without the written consent of the owner thereof or his
agent.
Any person convicted of such violation shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and punished accordingly.
