AN ACT to amend and reenact § 58-863 of the Code. of 1950 relating
to lists to be filed by apartment house operators so as to per-
mit certain counties to require like data from other lessors.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
That § 58-863 of the Code of 1950 be amended and reenacted

§ 58-863. Apartment house operators to file lists of adult occu-
ants.—Every person, firm or corporation operating any apart-
lent house of more than four apartments in this State shall, on
r before February first of each year, upon request of the commis-
loner of the revenue, file with the commissioner of the revenue of
he county or city in which such apartment house is located a list
iving the name and address of every tenant of such apartment
ouse as Of January first preceding. The governing body of any
munty adjoining a county having a population of more than one
housand per square mile may require like information from any
ich person, firm or corporation operating an apartment house hav-

reinafter provided. Any person, firm or corporation failing to
mply with this section shall be subject to a fine of not less than
