AN ACT to authorize school boards of counties, cities or towns
to permit the use of school property; and to permit the use
thereof under certain conditions.
[ H 394 ]
Approved March 14, 1950
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The school board of any county, city or town is
authorized to permit the use of, upon such terms and conditions
as it deems proper, such portions of the school property under
their control as will not impair the efficiency of the schools.
Such permits shall be made under rules and regulations of the
school board and the board may authorize the division super-
intendent to permit use of the school property under such condi-
tions as it deems proper. The superintendent shall report to the
board at the end of each month his actions under this section.
§ 2. Each such permit may contain, among other matters,
provisions (1) limiting the use of the property while classes
are in session; and (2) an undertaking by the lessee to return
the property so used in as good condition as when leased,
normal wear and tear excepted.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its
passage.
