AN ACT to fiz the season when squirrels may lawfully be taken
in certain counties and to provide penalties for wns

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. It shall be lawful to hunt, capture, take and kill squir-
rels in the county of Scott, Patrick, Floyd, Carroll and Franklin
during the period beginning September first of each year and
extending through January twenty following. The right of
certain persons to hunt squirrels on their own lands shall not
be affected hereby.

§ 2. Any person hunting, capturing, taking or killing
squirrels at any time other than that herein authorized shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor.
