AN ACT to amend and reenact § 24-220 of the Code of 1950 relating
to persons to be present when ballots are printed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 24-220 of the Code of 1950 be amended and reenacted
asx follows:

§ 24-220. Substitution for such member in certain cities and
counties.—In cities having a population of thirty thousand or more
inhabitants and in counties having a density of population in ez-
cess Of two thousand per square mile, the electoral board may de-
signate some other person to perform such duties as required in the
preceding section. Such person, before entering upon the per-
formance of such duties, shall take an oath that he will faithfully
execute the same.
