CHAPTER 183
AN ACT to transfer the jurisdiction and control of certain parcels
of land through and along the Virginia Truck Experiment
Station in Princess Anne County from the Board of Directors
thereof to the State Highway Commission, and to authorize
the latter Agency to use said parcels of land as a part of State
Highway Route Number 13.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the jurisdiction and control of those two certain parcels
of land hereinafter described, lying and being situate in Princess
Anne County, and along and through the Virginia Truck Experi-
ment Station, be and the same are hereby transferred from the
Board of Directors thereof to the State Highway Commission,
which is hereby authorized to use and maintain the same as a
part of State Highway Route Number Thirteen. Said parcels of
land are each Seventy-five feet in width and lie on the west side of
and adjacent to the existing Fifty-foot right of way, and are each
bounded on the west by a line parallel to and/or concentric with
and One Hundred feet distant from the survey and plan centerline
of said existing right of way, in the center of the present highway,
the proposed Northbound Lane of Route Number Thirteen; the
west line of the said existing right of way being distant Twenty-
five feet from said centerline. The said parcels of land are located
as shown on Sheet Numbers Three, Four, and Five of plans for
Route Number Thirteen, Project Number Sixteen Hundred and
Seventy-five-Zero Four (Old Eleven Hundred and Forty-A-W-One)
on file in the office of the Department of Higways at Richmond,
and are further located and described as follows:
Parcel Number One: Beginning at the south property line of
the Virginia Truck Experiment Station and the north property
line of the land now or formerly owned by Moore, or others, oppo-
site said centerline, at or near Survey Station Six Plus Twenty-
seven, and extending northerly, along the west line of said parcel,
a distance of Eleven Hundred and Three feet, more or less, and
along the east line of said parcel, a distance of Eleven Hundred
and Seven feet, more or less, to points in the north property line
of the Virginia Truck Experiment Station and the south right of
way line of the Norfolk Southern Railroad, which property and
right of way line crosses said centerline, at or near Survey Station
Seventeen Plus Thirty-six.
Parcel Number Two: Beginning at the south property line of
the Virginia Truck Experiment Station and the north right of
way line of the Norfolk Southern Railroad, which property and
right of way line crosses said centerline, at or near Survey Station
Seventeen Plus Highty-six, and extending northerly, along the west
line of said parcel, a distance of Eleven Hundred and Twenty-two
feet, more or less, and along the east line of said parcel, a distance
of Eleven Hundred and Fifty feet, more or less, to points in the
north property line of the Virginia Truck Experiment Station and
the south property line of the land now or formerly owned by the
Pennsylvania Railroad, or others, which property line extended
crosses said centerline, at or near Survey Station Twenty- -nine
Plus Forty-four.
The said parcels of land contain Three and EFighty-seven one
hundredths acres, more or less.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
