ACT to amend and reenact § 46-165 of the Code of 1950, relat-
ing to the fees for registration of combinations of tractor truck
and trailer or semitrailer.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

That § 46-165 of the Code of 1950 be amended and reenacted
ollows: ,

§ 46-165. Combinations of tracturs and trailers, etc.—In the
- of a combination of a tractor truck and a trailer or semi-
ler, each vehicle constituting a part of such combination shall
registered as a separate vehicle, and separate vehicle license
plates shall be issued therefor, but, for the purpose of determining
the gross weight group into which any such vehicle falls pursuant
to the § 46-162, the combination of vehicles of which such vehicle
constitutes a part shall be considered a unit, and the aggregate
gross weight of the entire combination shall determine such gross
weight group. The fee for the registration certificate and license
plates for a tractor truck shall be thirty dollars for such vehicle *,
such registration fee to be deducted from the gross weight registra-
tion fee for a tractor truck ana trailer, or semitrailer combination
