AN ACT to amend and reenact § 88-495 of the Code of 1950
relating to suits or actions against cooperative life benefi
companies.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

That § 38-495 of the Code of 1950 be amended and re.
icted as follows:

§ 38-495. * Proceedings may be * brought against any
1 * cooperative in any county or city in which the * coopera-
maintains its principal office in this State or in which the
red resides or, if dead, resided at the time of his death, in
court otherwise having jurisdiction.

An emergency exists and this act is in force from passage.
