CHAPTER 123

AN ACT to authorize the town of South Hill to dispose of certain
property.

Whereas, the town of South Hill has a portion of a certain
alley which is not needed for municipal purposes and the town
desires to dispose of the same; now, therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. The town of South Hill is authorized to sell and convey,
under such terms and conditions as it deems proper, to the ad-
joining property owner that portion of an alley which extends
east from Brook Avenue, being a continuation of an alley for-
merly laid out, platted and dedicated to the town; said alley be-
ing at all other points along its course twenty feet in width
but the portion lying east of Brook Avenue being forty feet
in width and the additional twenty feet being unneeded for
municipal purposes.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its
passage.
