Chap. 99.—An ACT to amend and reenact Chapter 244 of the Acts of Assembly
of 1918, approved March 15, 1918, relating to boating, fishing, hunting,
gunning and skating in, or over waters as or in connection with the
public water supply of certain cities. {H 88)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia :
1. That chapter two hundred forty-four of the Acts of As-
sembly of nineteen hundred eighteen, approved March fifteen,
nineteen hundred eighteen, be amended and reenacted as follows:
It shall be unlawful for any person to boat, fish, hunt, gun or
skate, in, on or over the waters of any lake, pond or reservoir used
as, or in connection with, the public water supply of any city in
this Commonwealth, having by the last United States census a
population of more than ten thousand inhabitants, without the
consent in writing of the city or the water supply company, owning
such lake, pond or reservoir, or entitled to use the waters of the
same in connection with the water supply of any such city.
Any person violating the terms of this act shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished for each offense by
a fine of not less than ten dollars nor more than one hundred
dollars, or by imprisonment in jail not exceeding thirty days, or
by both, at the discretion of the court.
