Chap. 6.—An ACT to amend and reenact Sections 1 and 5 of Chapter 431 of the
Acts of Assembly of 1922, approved March 24, 1922, relating to the manufac-
ture and sale or offering for sale of paint, turpentine or linseed oil or ay
substitute therefor. [S 33)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That sections one and five of chapter four hundred thirty-one
of the Acts of Assembly of nineteen hundred twenty-two, approved
March twenty-four, nineteen hundred twenty-two, be amended and
reenacted as follows:
Section 1. No person, firm or corporation shall offer for sale,
expose for sale or sell within this State any paint, turpentine or
linseed oil, or any substitute therefor, marked and branded in any
manner so as to tend to deceive the purchaser thereof as to its nature
or composition, or which is not labeled or marked as hereinafter
provided.
Section 5. No person, firm or corporation shall manufacture
for sale, offer for sale or sell within this State any raw or boiled lin-
seed or flaxseed oil unless the same fulfills all the requirements
recognized by the latest official Federal Specifications, of the Federal
Specifications Board of the United States Government, for raw or
boiled linseed oil.
Linseed oil compounds designed to take the place of raw, or boiled
linseed oil, whether sold, offered or exposed for sale, under invented
proprietary names or titles, or otherwise, shall bear conspicuously
upon the containing receptacle in which the same is kept for sale,
or sold, the Federal Specification designation of the Federal Speci-
fications Board of the United States Government, if applicable, or
the true distinctive names and the percentage by weight of each
ingredient contained therein.
