Chap. 51.—An ACT to validate the abandonment and relocation of a certain
street and alley and conveyance thereof by the town of South Hill. {H 60]
Approved February 27, 1948
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The abandonment and relocation by the town of South Hill
of so much of Danville Street and of an alley twenty feet wide
between Danville and Main Streets as is described in the two deeds
hereinafter identified and referred to and the conveyance by the
town of both such street and alley and of the land on which they
lie by two deeds respectively dated May twelve, nineteen hundred
twenty and June twenty-six, nineteen hundred twenty-two, and
recorded in deed book eighty-six at page one hundred twenty-eight
and in deed book eighty-eight at page four hundred forty-two and
respectively made to Roberts Tobacco Company, Incorporated, and
Imperial Tobacco Company, are hereby validated as fully and to
the same extent as if such abandonment, relocation and conveyance
had been expressly authorized at and before the execution and for
all the purposes of such deeds. ;
2. An emergency existing this act shall be in force from its
passage.
