Chap. 504.—An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
4824-a requiring duplicate process to be left with accused in certain oral
cases.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section
numbered forty-eight hundred twenty-four-a as follows:
Section 4824-a. Copy of process to be left with accused ; exception.
—Except as provided for violations of chapter three of the Motor
Vehicle Code of Virginia, any process issued against a person charged
with a criminal offense shall be in duplicate and the officer serving such
process shall leave a copy with the person charged.
