Chap. 467.—An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a new section
numbered 4537-c to prohibit the giving of certain false reports to police
officers and to provide a penalty for violations. ({H 99]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a new section
numbered forty-five hundred thirty-seven-c as follows:
Section 4537-c. It shall be unlawful for any person knowingly to
give a false report as to the commission of any crime to any sheriff,
deputy, member of the State Police, police officer, or any other law
enforcement official with intent to mislead. Violation of the provisions
hereof shall be a misdemeanor and punishable as provided by law.
