Chap. 459.—An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
3419-a, dealing with certificates of good character in the case of certain
applicants for examination for admission to the bar. [S 281]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section num-
bered thirty-four hundred nineteen-a, as follows:
Section 3419-a. Certificates of good character, by whom given in
certain cases——In the case of any beneficiary studying law at a law
school under the provisions of chapter three hundred fifty-two, Acts
of nineteen hundred thirty-six, approved March twenty-seven, nineteen
hundred thirty-six, as amended, a certificate signed by any two pro-
fessors of such law school that he is a person of honest demeanor, and of
good moral character, is over the age of twenty-one years, and within
the preceding three years has studied law at such school for a period
of two collegiate years, may be accepted in lieu of the court certificate
required by section thirty-four hundred nineteen of the Code.
