Chap. 407.—An ACT to amend and reenact Sections 78 and 79 of the Code of
Virginia, as amended, relating to house and _ senatorial districts, and: the
election of members of the House of Delegates. (H 177]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That sections seventy-eight and seventy-nine of the Code of
Virginia, as amended, be amended and reenacted_as follows:
_ Section 78. When members of the House of Delegates elected ; ap-
portionment therefor— The members of the House of Delegates shall
be elected on the Tuesday succeeding the first Monday in November,
nineteen hundred and forty-three, and biennially thereafter on the Tues-
day succeeding the first Monday in November, and be distributed and
apportioned, and each county, city and combination is entitled to repre-
ie in the House of Delegates by a delegate, or by delegates as
ollows:

are deemed to be parts of the county or counties, respectively, wherein
the area occupied by said city was formerly located, and are so deemed
to be included in the enumeration of counties hereinbefore.
Section 79. Senatorial Districts—The State is hereby divided into
thirty-six districts entitled to senators as follows:
