Chap. 321.—An ACT to amend and reenact Chapter 326 of the Acts of Assembly
of 1938, approved March 29, 1938, as amended, relating to compensation of
deputy clerks and other employees of the circuit court in counties of less than

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That chapter three hundred twenty-six of the Acts of
Assembly of nineteen hundred thirty-eight, approved March twenty-
nine, nineteen hundred thirty-eight, as amended, be amended and
reenacted as follows:
The governing body of any county having a population of less
than twenty-three thousand according to the latest preceding
United States census is authorized to contribute from funds derived
from the general county levy such sum or sums as, in its discretion,
it deems proper towards the salary or compensation of the deputy
clerk and other employees of the circuit court of the county.
