Chap. 278.—An ACT to provide an open season for killing deer in the county
of Cumberland; to prescribe the number of deer that may be killed; and to
repeal inconsistent statutes, rules and regulations. [H 240]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. In the county of Cumberland it shall be lawful for any
person having a proper license, to kill and take deer in the methods
permitted by law, from November twenty to January fifth, both
days inclusive. During such time, either does or bucks may be killed
and taken, provided that no person shall kill or take in excess of
two deer in any such open season nor in excess of one deer in any
day. This act shall be void and of no effect after January fifth,
nineteen hundred fifty.
2. All rules of the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries,
and all acts and parts of acts inconsistent with the foregoing pro-
visions of this act, are hereby repealed to the extent of such incon-
sistencies.
