Whereas, certain agents, employees, and servants of the State
Highway Commission on May first, nineteen hundred and forty-
seven, were loading a truck belonging to M. L. Dutton, Route
No. 1, Box 325, Abingdon, Virginia, by means of an overhead
loader ; and,
Whereas, the brake failed to hold and the loader dipper dropped
on the truck bed, resulting in damage to truck frame, bed, and
rear axle housing; Now, Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That there be paid to M. L. Dutton, out of funds appro-
priated to the Department of Highways, the sum of three hundred
and forty-five dollars and ninety cents, such payment to be made by
the State Treasurer upon a warrant issued by the Comptroller,
