Whereas, certain agents, employees, and servants of the State
Highway Commission while engaged in the construction of a
certain road in Albemarle County, Virginia, known as Route 250,
Project S.—seven hundred and twenty-three, F & G, were using
a small wooden building, twelve feet by fourteen feet, as a field
office, with permission of the owner, M. E. Weast, Crozet, Virginia,
without compensation ; and,
Whereas, on December fourteenth, nineteen hundred forty-five,
this building caught fire from a warming stove, completely destroy-
ing the building; Now, Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That there be paid to M. E. Weast, out of funds appropriated
to the Department of Highways, the sum of fifty dollars, such
payment to be made by the State Treasurer upon a warrant issued
by the Comptroller.
