Chap. 252.—An ACT to authorize the Board of Visitors of the Virginia Poly-
technic Institute to grant and convey unto: Appalachian Electric Power
Company, its successors and assigns, certain easements of right of way on, over
and across its property in Montgomery County, Virginia. {H 395]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. The Board of Visitors of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute
is authorized to grant and convey unto Appalachia Electric Power
Company, its successors and assigns, upon such terms and condi-
tions as it deems proper, an easement of right of way for the con-
struction, maintenance and operation of electric light and power
lines and substations on, over and across the property of the
Virginia Polytechnic Institute in the County of Montgomery,
Virginia. The instrument granting and conveying such easement
shall provide for the reversion thereof to the Virginia Polytechnic
Institute in the event of the abandonment of the right of way.

2. Anemergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
